For over 25 years, I have been helping students and families navigate the college, financial aid, and athletic recruiting process.

College Counseling Services

Transcript Review

Your transcript is one of the most important parts of your college application file and the first things college admission counselors will review. The transcript is an official record of your academic accomplishments and a strong predictor of college success. I help to identify academic strengths and suggest proper course selections for senior year, while keeping in mind the student’s intended major.

College Search

The college search is a critical step in helping students identify the right colleges. Colleges and universities differ in many ways: size of school, geographic location, available majors, diversity on campus, etc. I help students identify the factors that are most important to the student and then I target the schools that match what the student is looking for a school.

College Visits

The best way to get a feel for the college’s “personality'“ and programs is to visit. College tours allow students to get a first-hand view of a college campus and get answers to many of your questions. This is your opportunity to talk with current students, faculty, financial aid, and admission officers on campus. I help students set up college tours and show families how to get the most of out a college visit.

Essay Writing

A powerful well-written essay can capture the attention of a college admission counselor. The essay allows the colleges to gain insight into your personality and form an opinion on what type of student you will be on campus. I help students brainstorm essay topics, revise rough drafts, and shape a final version of the essay that is sure to stand out in a crowd.

College Applications

The college application process can be very tedious and time consuming. I help students complete the college application and ensure items are completed accurately and well in advance of deadlines. I work with students on which application plan: early action, early decision, or regular decision is the most appropriate path to take in order to maximize the student’s chance of being admitted to the college of their choice.

Financial Aid

College is expensive! Thankfully, there are various types of financial aid available for students and families to help make college slightly more affordable. I work with families to help identify various types of financial aid, including merit scholarships and need-based financial aid for those families that qualify. I help parents complete the FAFSA form, the CSS Profile, search for private scholarships, and evaluate financial aid offers from colleges.
